Founded in Kidderminster in 1783, Brintons is one of the UK’s oldest carpet manufacturers. They have a rich history, including patenting the Axminster loom in 1890 and being granted a Royal Warrant in 1953.
Brintons were awarded the prestigious Manufacturing Excellence Award in 2001, beating off stiff competition from Jaguar and British Aerospace. They added to their trophy cabinet in 2014, winning Best Flooring Brand and Best Carpet from Interiors Monthly and House Beautiful.
All the Brintons Carpet ranges are made from 80% wool and 20% nylon, for durability and softness, using only British wool.

Abbeyglen carpet range
The Abbeyglen range from Brintons Carpets features plaid designs inspired by the Irish countryside. This woven Axminster is a rich, striking design and is suitable for extra heavy domestic traffic. It is available in five colours, from the gorgeous Fermanagh Plaid below, to greens, golds and greys in the other shades.
Abbotsford carpet range
Brintons Carpets’ Abbotsford range features seven classic tartan designs. There are modern colourways as well as more traditional shades, to suit all tastes. Another woven Axminster, it is suitable for extra heavy domestic traffic so is perfect for any high traffic areas of the home. Shown below in Heather Kilgore, it shows how this traditional design works with modern interiors.
Bell Twist carpet range
The Bell Twist range is a plain, woven Wilton carpet which has an extra twist added to the spinning process, creating a uniquely textured surface. The range is available in a massive 67 colours, including a Laura Ashley collection of pastel shades.
City Plaids carpet range
The Brintons City Plaid range is another checked design, in subtle colours. It comes in three shades, the Chelsea, Kensington (shown below) and Belgravia. Like all the Brintons ranges, you can see how they would look in a room using their View In A Room feature. This allows you to see each colourway on a larger scale in different room settings, with the option to change the wall colour to match your own scheme.
Classic Florals Nouveau carpet range
The Classic Florals Nouveau carpet range is a new range by Brintons Carpets, and updated version of their popular Classic Florals collection. It comprises 12 floral designs in creams, blues, reds and greys and is suitable for high traffic areas of the home.
Fresco carpet collection
The Fresco carpet range by Brintons Carpets features natural designs which were inspired by the British countryside. It features five pastel colourways in greys, muted pinks and greens and would be perfect for high traffic areas such as halls, stairs and landings.
Marrakesh Naturals carpet range
The Marrakesh Naturals range by Brintons Carpets features beige and grey undyed wool shades. The three motif patterns were inspired by Moroccan influences, and they are woven into a 100% wool pile.
Perpetual Textures carpet range
The Perpetual Textures range from Brintons Carpets are a patterned range in shades of grey. Made from woven Axminster, there are ten contemporary designs which include houndstooth, spot and herringbone motifs.
Pure Living carpet range
The Pure Living range from Brintons Carpets features five striped and plaid designs in earthy, neutral shades. They are suitable for extra heavy domestic traffic and are made from woven Axminster.
Renaissance carpet range
The Renaissance carpet range features bold, large-scale patterns in rich reds, greens and golds to give an opulent, elegant feel for your home. Their hardwearing durability also brings a sense of style to commercial settings.
Renaissance Classics carpet range
The Renaissance Classics range from Brintons Carpets is inspired by Persian art and literature. It features nine designs which include romantic scrolls and subtle motifs in red and golden shades.
Royal Marquis Collection carpet range
The Royal Marquis Collection is a stylish range of patterned carpets in traditional reds, greens, golds and blues. The carpets make an elegant, regal statement and create a warmth for your home.
The Velvet carpet range
The Velvet carpet range by Brintons is a luxurious woven Wilton which comes in 20 colours. Its soft pile is denser than usual, giving it a sumptuous feel as well as being hard wearing and durable.
Timorous Beasties carpet range
We love the Timorous Beasties carpet range and its unique patterns which are grand in scale and inspired by nature. There are damasks, butterflies and woodgrains in neutral shades as well as more vibrant colourways.
