Penthouse Carpets is a British carpet manufacturer who were founded in 1972 and celebrating their 50th birthday this year. They are based in Lancashire and their site in Rochdale includes a yarn store, tufting shed, backing plant and offices for the management team. Each employee owns part of the company which means that they all have a stake in the quality of the carpets they produce. Each carpet goes through six individual checks before it’s sent out, giving a beautiful, high-quality flooring which uses the latest technology.
Wool carpet ranges
Penthouse manufacture a huge 16 ranges of wool carpets, from the vibrant Pentwist Colour to the sumptuous Esprit Nouveau.
They only use a natural jute backing on their woollen carpets which is a natural, sustainable fibre. This means that it’s great for the environment as well as being flexible, strong and resilient.

Carlton carpet range
The Carlton range is available in 18 heathered colours, which are primarily neutral but also include deeper colours like the Sienna, shown below. It is made from 80% wool, 10% nylon and 10% polyester in 36oz and 42oz weights.
It is classified for heavy domestic use and is available in 4m and 5m widths.
Crofter carpet range
The Crofter range is a cut pile berber which is available in a range of neutral, flecked shades.
It is suitable for extra heavy domestic use and comes in 4m and 5m widths. The Crofter is manufactured from 80% wool, 15% polypropylene and 5% melt polyester and is available in 40oz and 50oz weights.

Crofter Loop carpet range
The Crofter Loop range is made from 100% wool loop and is suitable for heavy domestic use. It is available in a 35oz weight and in 4m and 5m widths.
It is crafted in the UK using premium 3 ply mothproofed yarn with the sustainable jute backing used for all the wool ranges.
Colorado carpet range
The Colorado carpet range is available in a range of 18 neutral and deep shades which include the sumptuous Delta shown below.
It is made from a bespoke blend of the finest wools with an 80% wool, 10% polypropylene and 10% polyester mix. Suitable for extra heavy domestic use and available in 45oz and 55oz as well as 4m and 5m widths.
Cumbrian carpet range
The Cumbrian carpet range is extremely soft but durable, and available in 18 shades. It is inspired by the Lake District and the colours are mainly neutral with additional greys, pink and a warm brown.
The range is manufactured from 80% wool and 20% synthetic, and is available in 40oz and 50oz weights, with 4m and 5m widths.
The Cumbrian is suitable for extra heavy domestic traffic which would work well in all areas of the home including those busy areas with a busy footfall.
Esprit Nouveau carpet range
The Esprit Nouveau range features a sumptuous, deep pile which is manufactured using a premium blend of the finest wools. It is made from 80% wool, 10% nylon and 10% polyester to create a durable yet elegant carpet which is available in 50oz, 60oz and 75oz weights, with 4m and 5m widths.
It is classified as a luxury heavy domestic flooring which is suitable for all areas of the home.
The Esprit Nouveau is available in 18 neutral shades including Curlew which is shown below.
Pentwist Colour carpet range
The Pentwist Colour range is Penthouse Carpet’s signature collection. It includes 18 vibrant colours and is stylish, durable and luxurious.
Made with a 2 ply yarn it is available in 40oz and 50oz weights, in 4m and 5m widths. It is manufactured from 80% wool, 10% nylon and 10% polyester and is suitable for heavy domestic use in all areas of your home.

Pentwist Natural carpet range
Another signature collection, the Pentwist Natural range works well in both contemporary and traditional homes. It is suitable for heavy domestic traffic and is made from 80% wool, 10% nylon and 10% polyester.
Available in 40oz and 50oz it comes in 4m and 5m widths, and gives a luxurious, hardwearing finish to any room.

Prism carpet range
The Prism carpet range is presented in nine rich tones, from the vibrant amber to the subtle Onyx.

Made from 80% wool and 20% synthetic it comes in 40oz and 50oz weights and is available in 4m and 5m widths.
Quartz carpet range
The Quartz range is extremely hardwearing and is suitable for extra heavy domestic use in all areas of the home including those with heavy traffic.
It is available in 12 neutral tones and is made from 80% wool, 15% polypropylene and 5% polyester.
You can choose from 40oz and 50oz weights and either 4m or 5m widths.
Shoreline carpet range
The Shoreline range is suitable for extra heavy domestic use in all areas of the home. It features 18 neutral shades and is made from 80% wool and 20% synthetic.
It is available in 40oz and 50oz weights and 4m/5m widths.
Springtime carpet range
The Springtime range from Penthouse Carpets features nine warm, neutral shades.
It is created from a special blend of undyed wools, and is available in 40oz and 50oz weights. The Springtime is made from 80% wool and 20% synthetic and can be supplied in 4m and 5m widths.
Stateside carpet range
The Stateside range is a plain dyed cut pile carpet which is made from an 80% wool, 20% synthetic mix. It is suitable for heavy domestic use in all areas of the home and is available in 40oz and 50oz weights, and 4m and 5m widths.
It is available in 18 shades including neutrals and deep colours like the Goldsboro shown below.
Super Maxim carpet range
The Super Maxim range is hardwearing yet elegant and available in 18 colours. Shown below in the Lagoon shade it is suitable for extra heavy domestic use. It is available in 40oz and 50oz weights with 4m and 5m widths.
Vermont carpet range
The Vemont range is a classic wool-rich cut pile twist which is available in 18 relaxing neutral shades. It is expertly crafted at the Penthouse mill in Lancashire and is available in 40oz, 50oz and 60oz weights.

Wentworth carpet range
The Wentworth range is an 80% wool, 10% nylon and 10% polyester mix which combines elegance with durability in 18 shades. The colours include shades of green, blue, red and mustard.
It is suitable for heavy domestic use and comes in 40oz and 50oz weights, and widths of 4m and 5m.

Synthetic Ranges
The synthetic ranges from Penthouse Carpets are a great, practical choice for many homes. Made from synthetic yarns they are all bleach cleanable and are suitable for most areas of the home.
The range features many plain shades including an array of neutral colours as well as deeper hues.

Amorosa
The Amorosa range is a twist pile which is made from 100% polypropylene and is a practical choice for many areas of the home including the bedroom, bathroom, lounge and stairs.
It is bleach cleanable, is a 43oz weight and comes in 4m and 5m widths. The neutral colour palette features greys and brown shades which would blend with any scheme in your home.

Flair
The Flair range from Penthouse Carpets is a lovely soft, deep pile which is made from 100% 2-ply polypropylene. It is available in 16 subtle and sophisticated shades including Blush, shown here.
The range is bleach cleanable, comes with a 10-year stain and wear warranty and is classified for heavy domestic use. As with all carpets, the manufacturers’ recommendations should be followed in order to adhere with warranty conditions.
Lullaby range
The Lullaby range is made from a 100% 2-ply Eccelena yarn which is super soft underfoot yet highly durable.
It is suitable for heavy domestic use and is suitable for most rooms in your home including the bathroom, bedroom and stairs.
The Lullaby is a 52oz weight and is available in 4m and 5m widths, is bleach cleanable and comes with an impressive 15-year stain and wear warranty.
